Hi

i bought my first Celica '94 few days ago... now it needs few new parts, previous owner had installed large supra style or similar wing but did not bought gas springs that are needed when wing is installed...

now both gas springs are dead and i need replace those with little powerful ones, original ones costs way too much so i make them myself but i has to know how much newtons is supposed to be in those gas springs so those can hold trunk open, could it be around 300-400 newtons ??

i'm not sure but markings from old ones had 273 i'm not sure is it newtons or something else.

i can get similar dprings from other place with 15 euros/dollars those need little drilling and thats it, i only needs to know much newtons.

thanks already
