#2 1999 auto 108,000 $4400--- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=0&nid...&ad=1650919

1st one seems like a bad buy because the seller seems like a boy racer. It's up to you between the third and second, although I'd personally go for the manual. Make sure you check which type of engine he's swapped in though.

#3 has a 2.2L in it. guy said the local shop had it put in.
this one is the cheapest i've come across, seems like a good deal but im not sure if i should wait for another one to pop up somewhere for sale.
and yeah #1 does seem like a racer boy so that was kinda unsettling. do you guys think 2500 is a good price for #3 i worked him down from 3000

hell yeah thats s good price!!

i bought my auto 96 for 4500 at 150xxx
i then bought my 95 manuel for 3,300 at 167xxx

the 95 was a piece of crap too!!lucky i had my auto to swap in all the parts. otherwise i woulda spent 4,000 easily.

but yeah definitely take it for a test drive, and try to get as much info on the car from the seller as you can

Well if it hasn't been clear enough - steer clear of #1, mainly because you can't "chip" a Celica.

Why does #3 says 1.3L? Did it become a rotary all of a sudden?

I'm selling my old 97 5SFE but I'm all the way here in Edmonton, Alberta. Canada lol. Those celica are looking good and sound like awesome deals. The 2nd and 3rd choice are better in that batch, however the third car is labeled wrong for engine displacement sooooooo either the seller doesn't know much about the car or was just a screw up or that's a weak engine lol, I hope its just the seller labeling it wrong. Nik's is looking pretty tasty too. GL on the buy.

bahaha thanks guys smile.gif
i wonder what #1 is talking about then he was all like "i smoke mustangs and stuff cause i chipped it"
i dont really care for super performance anyway so its not like it impresses me anyway plus mustangs pshhh not cool anyway lol.
...I just really like 2dr hatchbacks, especially 6g celicas. so Nik how much are you asking for yours? i'm interested now that the kit is gone. kits are just a real drag, too much hassle when driving around.

Give #3 a call, not only is it listed with the wrong engine, it is listed as a coupe when it is obviously a hatchback. I wonder how long he owned it and what it's history is. Get the VIN # and get the "Carfax", it's worth the cost in the long run. Ask for more photos such as interior and engine bay. If it checks out as having a newer 2.2 engine, I think that it is the best deal of the group.

Honestly, I know it is an auto, but #2 appears to have been babied. Even though they did say that (I didn't reach much else), look how clean it is and most importantly, the mileage.

I'd say talk them down to 3.5k and it'd be a pretty good deal. Mileage is on the lower side, but the bumper to hood alignment looks a little off. Did you ask if the car has been involved in an accident? That right tail light can easily be fixed by buying JDM tails. biggrin.gif
