I am going to take a wild guess that those of you wanting a gt-4 or dressing up your celicas to look like one are not doing it just because. GT-4 became GT-4 because of rally racing and its legacy although short lived has inspired millions and few lucky thousands of people who actually own one of those.

After years of fighting to bring rally back to the usa screeen we are lucky to be blessed with yet another season of high definition coverage of WRC broadcast by FIA through Discovery HD Theater.

If you do not have a tv, buy one, if you do not have cable subscription, get one, show your support so that rally racing does not become extinct in this country.

It is usually on that channel on sundays at 10pm so there are no excuses for people not to watch it. There is no college at 10pm and prime time soap operas are long over 11pm is not too late to go to sleep for early birds.

New season is right around the corner.

On a side note.. so is Formula 1

I`m sure that now Ken Block has decided to have a go at the WRC you guys will get to see more of the world rally circuit on TV.

Formula 1 sucks though...its been boring for years and years with more and more rules forced onto them by the dam FIA its just a queue of cars driving around a track now....no overtaking or real driving...the only overtaking is when somebody goes into the pits.

Blocks not doing too badly..better than I thought he would do, currently 10th overall

Its a shame couldnt see the block-räikkönen battle, as Räikkönen flipped and rolled his Citroen quite a bit..
Block is at the last place on group A, except for Räikkönen who is continuing with the superrally-rule being 45minutes even from block..

well, maybe in the next rally we´ll see Block-Räikkönen battle!

Poor Ken block, another disappointing outing. At least it's a short trip home for him smile.gif Havent watched the F1 yet but with all the changes I'm sure it's going to be a bunch of fumbling and general crapitude. Benie really needs to leave it the **** alone.

unfortunately looks like this season of f1 will be craptacular. There are very bad changes in sporting regulations such as ban on refueling so its a lost cause as far as I am concerned.

Also (when F1 is in the "zone") it is not a beginner racing sport. To fully understand what is going on, one must have watched feeder series and taken a crash course in F1. Unlike other motor sports F1 is not so much about racing but about engineering and technology.

Dont worry Tankd0g, it is exactly what is expected from Block, no one believed he could be in the podium on the first year around..

F1 wasn´t really that amusing, but the first races are every year pretty dissappointing, as every team is just observing and copying what others have done to their car in order to do one themselves to the next races.

hmmm. Not too sure. Without refuelling, the whole thing just seems to be a competition to preserve tyres and fuel the longest = slow boring driving.

tire only stops are fast as hell and fun to watch but thats all the action that we're seeing.....
Like Luke said, tyre preservation battle and not a whole lot of shooting it out between the racers...I hope the rest of the season is more exciting, but basically this was like

F1 2010 beta test race 1....congrats you got some track time but it wasn't really racing either kindasad.gif

There is a storm brewing out there. According to latest news, just about every news agency and tv networks are bashing F1 for being a borefest. So much so that Ecclestone has allegedly called a meeting of some sort trying to do "emergency revisions". I dont know what that means but there is a rumor going around of a potential mandatory 2 pit stop rule. Bernie, of course being an old idiot is thinking "big" and hopes to introduce shortcuts of some sort. I dont know whats going to happen but I want something to happen pronto or else this will be a disastrous season for f1.

Well I for one didnt think they could do it...but they have....they have made F1 more boring than it was last year.

As mentioned its a preserve tyres and engines race now......gone is the "go for it at all costs" attitude of old....the FIA should take a good long look at how they have ruined motorsport in general over the past few years.....it isnt a cheap sport...why try to make it so???

Did anyone spot an overtaking manouver in the first race...I think I saw one marshal run past another but that was about it as far as racing went. I think the biggest and fastest race will be the queue out of F1.
