finally got the magnaflow muffler i got from Jaws4God put on my car. kinda don't like the way the muffler shop mounted it. so goin back this week to get it mounted the way i want. sound clip comin soon hopefully.

was in a wreck last month and found out my car is going to be auctioned off on wednesday as parts-only. it will probably sell for around $500 from my experience. i'd buy it just to part it out but don't have the room.

Brought the Celica back to life, now need to figure out what this battery light (that went on and off after a few seconds) is all about, as well as source parts for a P/S Pump rebuild.

Battery light is indicative of a failing alternator.

massive repairs.... the lower bolt of the alternator snapped, engine had to be lifted to have enough access to drill out and tap new threads, so while the engine was pretty much out of the car i'm having the mechanic change my front and rear main seals oil pump gasket and my clutch that was on the way out. while working on the engine he discovered i am dripping oil through the valve seals as well so i gave him the go ahead to take the head off and have the valve seals replaced, while the heads off i'm gonna have a machine shop resurface the head and take extra off to slightly increase compression for a little more power.
sucks not having a car for a week , but it will be nice not to have anymore oil leaks and have a little more pep under the hood and a clutch that doesn't slip --------------------  |

Brian, best of luck with the fix. Sounds to me like classic mechanic horsesh!t to say that x was found to be broken while working on the car. Oh well, issues are issues. I installed a short ram intake, sounds massively good actually. Surprising how the little things make a difference.
