Thought about getting a 280ZX, but then dealing with a 30+ year old car for a daily driver.

Today I met the new owner of my old IS 300. That car has seen better days... kindasad.gif It was still good seeing the old girl again.

Tomorrow I'll be doing things to the Celica.

Meh, I don't really care for those as much. Lacks the charm of the original Z car, and isn't as fast as a Z32. Some of those are almost as old as the 280ZX, so just rather have the 280ZX at that point. Z31 looks kind of cool I suppose, but isn't for me.

I feel ya. I've always loved the old 280zx but they're so hard to find in any type of decent condition around here even for a fixer upper. (╯︵╰,)

Actually yesterday but whatever...

...was the 4-year anniversary of buying my 6gc; an amazing 48 months of blood, sweat, good times, and great friends!

To celebrate I bought new tires for the lil' lady.

Around here you can find a lot of them in good original or semi-restored condition for under $3,000 all the time. Why it was under my considerations, but for a daily would be pushing it I think.

Today I tried vacuum forming for the first time and made these. Not perfect on the sides but the rubber will hide it. But the front is perfect and will be great for my projector retrofit. Also bought a toms lip the other day needs work but will be worth it.

I used a 2mm impact modified acrylic. My first try didn't go so well I overheated the plastic and got bubbles. So I decided to hit it with a hammer and it took a few hits in the same spot before it broke. Its supposed to be 50x stronger than glass and have a uv coating on it already.
