purchased a set of JDM tail lights to match the clear third brake light smile.gif Was also $80 cheaper to buy them from Japan directly then it was in Australia...

JDM tails are a must, good choice! Also not surprised, shipping may be less but people charge more for everything here...

I myself ordered clear side indicators as I'm sick of my orange/ugly ones smile.gif

hahah yeah I replaced my front and side indicators with Crystal Clears a while ago... They look SO much better than the ugly orange crap lol tongue.gif
And yeah the JDM tails cost my $250 delivered from Japan and yet here in Australia they are $250 without shipping... which they quoted my $30 from Brisbane... It cost me $60 from japan... The local wreckers quoted me $400 for the tails, which I replied are you serious? and they said yeah, we were offered $350 which I just said 'Take it, I'm not paying that' lol

I couldn't find any tails locally, think I paid about the same shipped from Japan as well, wait until you look for splitters and skirts (if you want to in the future), shipping cost an arm and a leg for those...

Yeah I know... Luckily when I got my Skirts the shipping was $60 from Adelaide to Sydney and included $300 insurance biggrin.gif My skirts were $200 delivered biggrin.gif haha
I'm in the process of looking for TRD Front and Rear Splits... The guy I bought my Tails from has SIII splits (rear and front) and offered them to me for $400... If I had the money I would of taken them lol

Yeah my side skirts came from Queensland (I'm in Melbourne) for $240 shipped and I got the front and rear SS-III from a guy in Japan for $360 total or something, he was selling front and back separate but when I purchased both at the same time he bundled them and shipping wasn't that bad actually! I was lucky enough to have a mates dad who has all the equipment to spray paint and used to do it professionally so I helped him out with it and it only cost me paint + a slab of beer wink.gif

CONGRATS ON JDM TAILS! biggrin.gif I was hoping you were going to get some... as said above, they're a must if you want a more sleek and modern look.

Wow... I got lucky then when I bought mine last year... I went to one of the local wreckers here in Brisbane and from memory paid $150 for the pair... one of the other places nearby was doing them for $130 the pair but was a bit further away (And needed a toll road tongue.gif)... but now they all seem so expensive again.

I ended up buying my TRD rear splitters from Japan via eBay, but I would recommend checking out eBay.co.uk and CCUK for splitters and JDM goodies because they imported a large number of SSIII's and GT4's over there and the parts are much cheaper... shipping still sucks though tongue.gif

Somebody on Gumtree in SA has front OEM TRD spats and rear replicas for $260 at the moment too.

Over to my news of the day...

OOPS... Guess you're just going to have to read my thread! (link in Sig.) XD

Decided it was time to find another Gen6,.

It started four weeks ago, well it started before that so lets start there.

Last fall, I blew the timing belt, I know maintenance would have saved that problem. So I took it to a shop, they replaced it, and away I went. 200 miles later, it kept slipping futher and further out of correct timing... So I ordered a kit, bought a couple more tools, and fixed it...

Next,. this spring, my radiator cracked, so I grabbed a new one,..

This spring I knew I had a pretty bad wheel bearing, so I ordered a bunch of stuff from rockauto.com brakes, rotors, wheel bearings, seals, etc.. etc.. etc.. and went about some updates.

After getting everything installed, I went about my normal driving, a week passed, and apparently my lug nuts had loosened.

Week 1 Wheel Fun:
New Wheel Bearings
New Seals
New Brakes

Week 2 Wheel Fun:
5 - New Lugs, yep broke 4 and a half out of five before I could pull off the side of the road
25 - New stupid chrome lug nuts

Week 3 Wheel Fun:
1 - CV Axle, yep my cv axle decided it was time, and broke at the castle nut, know one I've talked to has ever seen this happen before.
1 - Used Steering Knuckle (ended up being the wrong one)
1 more - Used Steering Knuckle

Week 4 Wheel Fun:
This steering knuckle needs a new wheel bearing and hub it sounds like,. I'm thinking I've bent the tie-rod end and am tracking out of square.
The flex section on the forward exhaust pipe has decided to come apart to so it sounds like open headers
Hit a pile of log chain that was in the highway and bent a rim,. a nice expensive 18" aluminum rim... so

Decided to find another gen 6 and start over,.. this one has lost that loving feeling.

Today was going well until I thought it'd be a good idea to play badminton. It all ended with a loud cracking from my knee and me hitting the ground. To make this all relevant it happened shortly after driving the Celica without a brace and not having any problems for once. I guess it's time to learn how to float through the gears.

Damn that sucks. Nothing worse then getting something embedded into a tire, especially when you can't see it. Those look to be relatively new tires too, that's when it sucks the most. Damn it people keep pointy things off our roads.

Meh, just remove idiots from our roads. Then it doesn't matter what they drive. Somehow I don't think auto manufactures and our government would like losing all that money when 90% of the population loses their privilege to drive.
