That's sketchy as ****.

Today Sara and I did:

One wheels lip is almost completely polished. The other wheel's outer lip is almost fully stripped. This is going to take a while.

We did the same thing with my brother's wheels.

Drill with a wire brush attachment is your best friend.

Watch your ****ing language. tongue.gif No actually, a fine grade wire wheel is about equivalent to 200 grit. Then you can follow up with higher grit sandpapers, then wet-sand, polishing compound etc... The bulk of the work is in removing paint/corrosion, and the wire wheel makes easy work out of it. Just have to be careful about the wheel catching and slamming the collar of the drill into your rim.

That's about right for the GT. Its compensated mpg rating is 19/26 and was originally rated at 22/29. Having the thermostat stuck open is bad, not so much as it being stuck closed. Still... I'm not sure about the 5S-FE, but it's like a 10 minute job on the 7A-FE. Eh... Fuel filter would be good to do. Mine had the original fuel filter with some 190,000 miles on it... Could be possibly the same for you.

What is this that you are talking about? rolleyes.gif

We are all adults here, drivers and all. smile.gif

Guess I'll have to look for a fine grade wheel. Mine are like blades.

I'm heading to a junk yard this week to go grab some electrical stuff, want me try and get one for you? Theres like 4 or 5 celicas there so I'm sure I'll be able to find a good one.

If you were talking to me, I appreciate the offer, but I would rather buy it new from toyota. Yeah it's almost $100, but it's worth it.

The thermostat housing on the 7A-FE is right on the front of the motor with plenty of room. Probably spend more time changing spark plugs than you would the thermostat.

I didn't realize how bad my rears were until I swapped both calipers out completely. Holy crap stopping with 4 wheels felt good.

My GT makes roughly 24mpg on highway and 22mpg in the city. Also today I found out driving stick shift while wearing dress shoes. Is not a good idea. The dress shoe has no grip to grip onto the clutch. Especially if it's like my clutch pedal where its polished metal. Lol. Stalled my car in first gear at a stop light because my left foot slipped.
