Spending today trying to convince my mom that trading her old Expedition that's been sitting her yard forever and a year for a nice riding lawnmower that has just been rebuilt is well worth it for her. Id value the lawnmower at 500. Id give no more then 800 for the Expedition. Its nasty, beat up, and hasn't ran right in the better part of a decade. Women.

Today I waited around all day for the FedEx man, when you're all the way out where I am you're going to be the last stop of the day . He finally showed up with my Starter just before 5:00p.

I have to say that was the easiest starter I have ever installed, in fact figuring out which way to squeeze the plug to remove the ground clip was the hardest part
Of course as soon as I spent $144 to order a new starter the old one began to work again with no problems. but I can't keep parking it on a hill just in case so I put it on.
Denso reman in USA. and I sent the core back for $25 after they stuck me for $6.87 for the return label.



the old one was pretty krusty, maybe it was just the corrosion/rust on the terminal , but it looks pretty worn out anyway and smelled like an old crack pipe.

Found a 5-speed SC300 but haven't been messaged back yet. I'm tired of searching CL, eBay, and forums everyday only to find nothing, or if I do it's sold by the time I get the chance to ask about it. If I wanted a Miata there're plenty of them around.

what are you looking for, what makes you tick right now?

I've decided if I'm going to nitpick I might as well get exactly what I want this time around. Summer is on the horizon and I can go without a car even though I really don't want to if at all possible. So now it's down to:

'87-95 Firebird Formula or Trans Am with 5/6-speed. At this point I'm even willing to accept the more common TBI on the third gens, since I can just rip it out and throw in a carbureted 350 for next to nothing. Yes the Camaro is the same car, but at the same time it's not, I'd just come to regret it at a later date.

'92-97 SC300 with 5-speed. Having a car that's one of some 3,000 is kind of cool and it's really the total package in one car. Great interior and drive-train that's proven reliable, that and it handles well. Really this is probably the ideal car, but the heart has a way of overpowering the mind.

I heavily considered the Mustang since it is moderately easy to find, but to me it'll always be second fiddle.(Though I expect the 2015 to change that) I looked into the MR2, Miata, and 240SX but all of them really need swapped or aftermarket turbo kits to get to where I want them. The 300ZX and RX7 are out for obvious reasons. Can't find a MKIII Supra that isn't blown and/or the seller isn't on drugs. I've researched everything to death a million times, reading through forums and articles until my eyes cross. I honestly can't think of any other cars out there.

Just made a printout with the cars I'm looking for to handout to my friend(s) and family so now if they happen to see one for sale they can let me know. The MKIII Supra ended up making the cut, I know a fairly priced one is out there somewhere. In fact I checked again and there is one right now, but of course it'd have the wrong transmission.

Yeah, it'd help if I wanted to go 2,000 miles to get a car but it's just not feasible. I did find another '92, '93, and '97 SC300 I'm waiting to hear back on. Still the other SC300 I texted earlier, but I imagine it's probably gone though. Perhaps something will pan out here soon. Sure the cars I'm looking for are rare, but surely between the four of them I can find something.

I've been using searchtempest about twice a day on each car the last few days. I had seen those before, they haven't been updated in awhile. I was excited about the '87 in Nashville until I saw it was the autotragic, then I cursed several deities.
