does anyone know any history on that car? like whose is it, or anything behind the legality of the paperwork.

Someone posted it somewhere else on the site here the other day. If you could get it for the cheap enough I say it'd be worthwhile. The difference being it's on eBay and not a shady Craigslist ad, so there's some level of safety there. Still I'm curious how it was titled... I know it's not uncommon to get a RHD car out of Canada and then have it titled to use as a mail delivery car. I know in Alabama on cars without a title all you have to do is get an officer to inspect the vehicle to make sure any VIN swapping hasn't been done, that and they run it to make sure it's not stolen and etc... Once it checks out they make you a title and you're good to go. Shame Canada is so far from here.

I'm not sure about any history, just saw a friend on Facebook post it. He is a fellow St205 owner in the states. From what we can tell it looks pretty rough. And from my personal experience owning one of these cars is you will go bankrupt if you start off with something this rough. Parts are just unethical as far as price goes.

Never heard of this 205 when I lived then ohio. Must be fairly recent .
Doctor with white 205 still lives in Columbus I know .
Like 4 eyed said this is rough . I don't care how much was spent on engine it will need a lot of work overall . Suspension is probably toast as people have no idea they go bad every 60k miles . I got my 205 for less than 5k but 10 years later I'll have 25k into it by time it's 100% restored .

You know, I'd like a nice ST205 or ST185. Shame they're so hard to find. Even a ST165 would work, but it's at the bottom for me in terms of desire. Only 4-5 years until we can import the ST205 directly...

Frame is good, hood and bumper are toast, radiator support and upper bumper support are ruined, and three out of four projectors have cracked tabs. Fixable, but kinda ruined my day.

Everyone involved was alright. It was low speed, nothing serious. Just a low traction, sudden stop situation and I parked underneath a Highlander. It's just a flesh wound. I'll get it fixed in no time.

I would have preferred it to be the Supra, honestly. All stock USDM parts, no major headaches or hassles. Send it to the body shop and get it back, no questions asked.

I'm not too worried about a reported accident on either title. I have no intentions of getting rid of either car any time soon so a reported accident that doesn't total the car doesn't bother me too bad. At any rate, I'll fix the Celica myself where I would have let insurance and the body shop take care of the Supra, so it would have been easier and cheaper if the Supra had gotten wrecked.

I'm already searching for replacement parts, and there were no injuries whatsoever so no need to feel too bad. It's a part of life, and it's not too hard to fix.
