i was thinking about those or some new dunlops http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes

But, your looking for dd not autox type of tires right? I wouldn't go under 300 rated tread wear. My falkens are almost down to the wear markers after one summer of dd/autox.

im looking for both actually.
one i can use for both autox and dd.
the Yoko Avid V4S's i have on my steelies would be perfect. they have a 400 wear rating.
but i really want to try another setup.
i was want to try either these or the
advan neova ad08 but its TW rating is even lower. and the tires cost as much as a one of my rims

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport

i have them, they are good summer tires and good grip in rain as well. Breakaway point is very easy to feel and expectable. Not too steep on money and i have them on for the whole summer but i still have tread like its new.

edit: My friend has yokohama avid h4s instead of v4s but he said its very nice and good tread wear.

IO have proxes on my car right now, and I drove all year around with them on, no issues of any kind, the break point during turning is not as clear as other tires ( noise when approaching ) but once you get the feel for the tire you can react to it just like with any other tire.

my next set of tires will be a dedicated summer tire set and I will go with r1r with more than one reason, but to help my argument here is a review from someone involved in autocross with more technical and accurate description of what to expect.

READ !

EDIT.

I went to check current prices on it and seems this tire is being discontinued. that's just perfect, I have to do my homework all over again lol

ugh. decisions decisions

its hard to choose because these specs and personal testimonies are hard to go by because the performance of the tire can be offset by the car.
my car may react differently to the tires than another persons car

My falkens are great once warmed up, which isn't usually till the 3rd or 4th run on a warm sunday. They really only like to be ran warm. I kinda have a close set up to yours with the st sway bars and lowered, with i think -.5 camber all around.

Do you like your coil overs for autox just for the ability to tune it, I was thinking of going that route but i keep hearing eibach adjustable springs with koni yellows are one of the best set ups for road racing/autox

I talked to the shop where I got my tires today but I was doing a rotate and balance. and he said the Falken FK452 and Yokohoma S Drive are very similar in performance, but that the Yokohomas are a newer tire.

Falken just release their new RT-615K, an updated version of their rt-615. those are good autocross tires for really cheap price.

It's no decision. At nationals 8 out of 10 drivers running in st(street touring) are using RE-11. Put those tires on an 89 Civic Si and you have the top 15 finishers at nationals. A lot of guys have them shaved but for all that money I want that extra rubber. It is the best street class tire hands down. Twice the grip in wet conditons as the RE-01 and just as sticky in dry.
