 3sgte egr?, just a bit confused |

well i am working on getting my 3sgte up and running in my car and i was reading through the manual and it keeps referring to the egr valve and the vsv and im just a little confused i know the jdm dont usually have one so why does the manual keep referring to it? as well is the vsv needed if you dont have an egr?
