I like how you bash a ride that anyone would have drooled over couple years ago. @op dont know what brand/kind but im sure you could find something similar on any body kit site online

I was never into the whole "vinyl, hoodscoop, body kit, etc." scene

the sccop seems to be a universal scoop molded in.

the car is tastefully done, I wouldn't do that to my celica, but the owner did a clean job on it, I'm sure if you would have seem this in the first Fast & furios movie the comments would be different. there was a point in time where that was the trend.

You have a point. I'm sure about 5 years from now people are going be be hating on JDM. Personally, I don't think OEM JDM will go out of date, it's just too clean. It's like wearing a white dress shirt and a black tie, ageless.

wow guys I was just asking about the scoop............ now I'm sure if that was done in plain ole black it would be a little different huh. I was asking about the scoop for feeding a CAI insead of running tubing all over the bay trying to get to some cold air.

People are no more "into JDM" than they were 5 years ago. What needs to be said is that current generation of celica owners (the ones who joined into the 6gc in the last couple of years) has lost interest or has little interest in fancy shmancy because novelty wore off 5 years ago.

On the other hand... park a jdm celica on a parking lot and watch thousands of people pass by it without even giving it a peek. Park same celica with a few "fancy shmancy" body panels among other things and watch people goose neck. All depends on what you are looking for.

Amen. I look for subtlety. I want to look nice, but not call attention to myself. The "fancy schmancy" is basically an air horn, the JDM is a dog whistle, hearable to those select few (pardon my metaphor/pun)

does any one realise the term "JDM look" is actually an American term for an almost standard looking car cos JDM cars are generally quite extreme and not subtle, so really "JDM look" is nothing of the sort unless you mean "just left the Japanese factory where they built her look"

that gen 6 looks a bit like a gen 7
