I realize this might be a silly question, but I was wondering if they made a set of performance gears for our cars, there has to be a way to get better gear ratios than stock, as far as acceleration and/or a longer final gear goes. Just wondering

tranny swap.
different final drive would require a new output shaft and a new diff ring gear. none that i know of. 5th gear, though, may be swappable between diff trannies... -------------------- QUOTE "And, as always, your friendship, help, and dedication to the advancement of Texas Celica dominance is GREATLY appreciated. I swapped a 5sfe Camry gear box into my car, bolts right up and the final drive is different (forgot exact specs) but now i actually hit 60 in 2nd gear!
Easiest "gear" swap i could think of. PS This is for my 5sfe hatch of course This post has been edited by 94celicadude: Sep 1, 2010 - 11:28 PM -------------------- ![]() 1994 GT Hatchback 1994 ST Coupe 1988 Corolla Wagon All-Trac 1999 Corvette 2008 Cobalt SS Turbo |
