a way to test and see if it works is to hook up a +12v source to it to see if it turns on. if i could visually see everything, I could easily tell you the problem, and it sucks that i cant. try that test and see if it even turns on

not necessarily because something else could be wrong.
I'll give you a set of "IF's" right now:

If it does work with the +12v source, then something is wrong with your head unit.

If it DOESNT work, then you should clean up all your grounds.
If that still doesn't work, then check your inline fuse to make sure it's still good.
If that still doesn't work, then check your wires (especially the power wire from the battery) to make sure they didn't rip or tear during installation.
And after all that, if it still doesn't work, then it's the amp.
If it's the amp, check the fuses on it.
If the fuses are fine, then get another amp.
If the new amp doesn't work, then something is utterly f***ed up with your car lol

I'm not trying to be a ass, but you need this.

http://www.caraudiohelp.com/how_to_install...l_a_car_amp.htm

Amp install is simple.

You need power, from the positive terminal from the battery, you need a ground, which is commonly created via the trunk or seat belt bolts. You need a remote wire from the head unit. The wire is commonly labeled as remote. The rest is hooking up speakers.

Check battery terminals for ample surface area, and all connections. If it still doesn't work, your amp is fried.

there's no specific wire for the remote wire, you can use any wire for that. If there is one that runs with the RCA cables then use that one
