today i got around to fitting the splitter, for a starter, it was a great quality finish, but was not a simple fit, first had to hack the top lip off, as the splitter was for a preface 202, then had to chop away some of the corners, and to top it off, had to shorten the whole length by 8 mm as after chopping the lip off to fit, it sat a bit higher and was too long....anywayz here's the pics
the cut and shut job ![]() Right side fog light gap ![]() Left side Fog light gap ![]() and the corners ![]() ![]() ![]() the corners wrap around perfectly, but the middle bit is really bugging me, i'll take some proper picslater and post, personally i think it was a good laugh for a tenner, DAY 2: well, today turned out to be better than last night.....when i went to halfords in the morning, i noticed the lip wasn't exactly "spot on" ![]() ![]() got some body filler, came back and hacked the lip again ![]() to make sure i get a straight finish this time... ![]() when i removed the brackets, the trick had worked and the lip was now sitting as i wanted it to ![]() fiberglassed the huge gap, and sanded down the excess ![]() now that the lip was nice and straight, i decided to re-adjust the foglight corners ![]() ![]() very niceee.......I likeeee... than i noticed that the silicone from the TRD splitters wasn't letting the lip sit flush with the wings.... ![]() so ![]() than used bodyfiller to fill the odd bumps here and there.....hardly any filler was left over after sanding ![]() once sanded down, i used G5 to take the scratched from the bumper out, used some black paint i had to temporarily cover the filler ![]() the finish is nothing less than professional ![]() now just going to paint it red and we are done ![]() ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
