My current 3sge alternator that came from the beams motor is no longer working as I had it tested at autozone. The 3S-GE Alternator run at 80 amp as well as the automatic 5S-FE alternator.
The 2nd and 3rd gen 3SGTE alternator run at 90 amps. I was checking autozone website and I see that a 1994 mr2 turbo with electrical power steering has an alternator rated at 90 amps, while the 1994 mr2 turbo with manual power steering is rated at 70 amps. I am going to be running a smaller battery most likely a braille 17 pound battery so logically it would be ideal to go for the 3sgte alternator that runs at 90 amps right??? Also is there any alternator rebuild kits for the 5sfe automatic/3sge manual alternators??? or I would be better off buying a new autozone alternator?? I need my car running by next tuesday!!!! -------------------- Group buy to replicate Narrow E series transaxle parts
