Hey guys,

I have a 94 Celica GT with a 3SGTE in it. The mounts were really bad, so I bought Kirk's engine mount inserts to help with the engine movement. This is my 2nd time buying the inserts and the first time, they held that motor down like a 250lb man putting a bear hug on a 110lb boy! But this time, I'm not getting that same result. One thing I should tell you is that the front mount was not an original 94-99 GT mount, it was the mount from the 5th gen's. The bracket that the mount attaches to was for the 6th gen, so the insert was a little bit thick to fit in. So I shaved the sides of the inserts down a LITTLE bit just to fit it in. Would this play any part on why the inserts isn't holding the engine? I mean, I felt a little difference when I installed the inserts, but there is still a good amount of engine movement if I do not time the shift exactly correct. Could my side mounts be bad? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

-Thanks for your time, Ryan

what you mean isnt holding the engine? you'd hear a loud thud every time you accelerate or braked if it wasnt holding the engine lol

you mean you want your car to vibrate and rattle like a race car but it doesnt?

or it vibrates and rattles and you don't like it?
