You smell someone who worries about the cost of 93 octane there and back. The Celica has been wrapped up in a barn all winter, I need to replace the brake baking plates in the rear because the hold down pins are going to pull through inside the parking brake drums. I don't think I'm going to take it anywhere far from home until I've done that, it makes me really ****ing paranoid!

We'll see...the Mazda also has more room for hauling ****, like if you guys don't want your coolers sloshing around while you're off boy-racering the curvies.

ask enderswift about how slick the road was, from the last meet

Yea, very slippery last time I was there too. Its nice not to have gravel and pot holes, but this fresh road needs to 'season' itself for a year or two before its safe to have any fun with. Too much tar, not enough voids for the rubber to grab onto. I'm sure the winter will have helped, but I think I'll take the Mazda this time and the Celica for the summer meet later this year. I haven't gotten to take the Mazda on a road trip in YEARS, hell last time I did it was my moms car and that was before I had the Geo. Don't worry, it'll have some cool **** to gawk over.

15" air horn
Bi-xenon HID
LED's elsewhere.

Its a pretty nice car, just slow as slow can be. Keeps me out of trouble. When the Celica is back in tip-top shape I'll have it out. Needs new suspension anyways, who cares if I can keep you at bay in a straight line, I want to be able to at least keep up in the curves too man.

I was out there over last summer and it was slick. I was in the XRunner and the back end was all kinds of loose lol. Made for some interesting drifting.

Yea I say we take it easy on the cruise this meet. I don't want to risk an accident like that again. . .But if you guys still want to push your cars then be aware that your tires may not make any noise when they're at the limit. I don't know if it was the tar on the road or the fact that my tires were new, but I didn't hear a single peep before the rear let go.

anyway, what else do we need food wise? I cant think of anything to bring O.o

you should be able to feel when the car is going to let go (at least i can), you just have to take her to a parking lot and test it out. tongue.gif ah how i miss my younger days. (ok, so like ~2-3 years ago)
but that would have sucked if you were in another accident. im sure you would never come to a meet again since it would have been twice in a row your car got hurt from it. wink.gif

Mine squealed like a pig being raped by a farmer AS they let go in the front, then the back end snapped and I had to counter steer very fast against it. Back tires were silent, but snap oversteer rarely makes a sound, its the silent killer. Its the road, I can feel as they're approaching their limit and laterally speaking I was not at the tires limit, but I was passed the limit of the road. I think I may have given a family in a van a group heart attack, I know I was a shade pale and felt rather cold.
