Time has come to get some new tires, currently running 215-35-18 and they suck, already bent one rim from a pothole, luckily the rim still holds air. I've read the forums and searched as well, just wondering has anyone tried a 225/45/18. I have tein ss coilovers so raising the car or lowering as much as I can isn't a problem. I've seen a couple of cars running 225/40s and they don't look too bad, what do you think stick to the 40s or maybe try the 45s. Rims are 18x8 with a +40 offset.

ST205 owner a few hours away from me uses 225/45/18 on his car and swears by 45 series tires.
I had 40's on my 18's and they still looked like elastic bands. 45's FTW. -------------------- current project: looking :(

Guess i will give it a try, a friend of mine swears by 45 series tires as well but he has a honda accord and plus hes from new york and the roads are terrible up there, dont know what i will try. Im good at gambling so i might go ahead with the 45s and try my luck, i just dont wanna look like im about to rally race or something lol, thanks for the info. |
