 Trunk Release Cable, Replace?? |

I had my tires rotated yesterday at a place called Wheel Works. They did access my trunk to check my spare tire and right now, i tried popping the trunk from the lever and I don't feel any tension so I went to the back to open the trunk using the key.
I have not checked the cable yet to see if it actually snapped or it just came lose on on the ends. If the cable is needs replacement, how do I do it??  I'd like to complain to the shop and make them fix it
