When I get my tax return back, I might be looking at a new set of rims.
I've had a local performance shop spec out a set I've had my eye on for some time, but now I need the pro's opinions. I think I want to stretch the rubber on these rims too, because I really dig that ultra-low profile look Here's what the performance shop came up with: ---- start quote ------ 2x Forged 5zigen FN01R 18X7.5 +35 - 328.00 each 2x Forged 5zigen FN01R 18X8.5 +35 - 362.00 each For the tires I would recommend the following. 215/35/18 Dunlop Direzza DZ101 – 181.42 each Kumho Ecsta SPT - $175.85 each Yokohama Prada Spec 2 - $209.25 each Yokohama S-Drive - $209.25 each Kumho AST - $138.27 each ----- end quote ----- Now, they only recommended one size of tire, and if you'll notice I was hoping to put the wider rims in the rear.... so that doesn't make any sense to me. But from your experience, what would be the tire size I should be looking for in order to get a good stretched look? And opinions on the rims? I wanted a strong forged 18" rim that would be lighter in weight than average, and I've always liked the look of the FN01R's. I'm looking to get as hella flush as I can, and barely understand the camber, offset, and toe-in lingo, so please help in anyway you can. I should also mention that I've purchased Tanabe Sustec Pro Type I coilovers and ST Sway Bars w/ twos endlinks that will be going on before the rims arrive, so I want to ensure that I don't "rub" too much. I'm all for rolling fenders, but I need help ensuring that the specs are correct so that I have good fitment. Thanks guys!
