I asked a question a while back that was titled 5th gear whistling. I got the answer driving to work one day. My 5th gear completely blew out and it turns out that they have to replace the whole gear shaft and cluster or something like that... I really am not sure what the problem is because the people are being downright shady, but what they're telling me is that they can't find the part.
Is there anywhere I can find one of those if I'm trying to avoid the junk yards..? Orrrrr should I go ahead and buy a junk transmission? Or should I buy a beater and try to save the Celica for after college? I will be broke for awhile now and I figure I could just find a really good bike to get me across town for the summer, but I'd really rather just drive. I'd appreciate any ideas/opinions. Thanks...
