Hey all,
I just bought a cheapie intake for my 94 celi from Ebay. *first mistake* but anyways, I am about to put it on and there is a hole in the side of the pipe. Is this for the air sensor? im a little puzzled since no hose came with the kit so im not sure what its for. Any help is greatly apprecieated! Thanks guys Here is the intake: Ebay Link |

You could try to see if the sensor will fit when you get it, if its too loose you can always put some tape around the sensor to make it fit better. If it doesn't fit or won't reach for whatever reason, just try to fill it in with something, tape would work for a temporary fix

There will be at least two holes. One is for the air sensor and then other comes directly from the engine. If there is a third then you can probably just plug that hole up. I just took another hose and screwed a bolt on one end and attached the other end to the nipple.

sorry man, no offence but you would have been alot better with your stock air box then that, just bringing in hot air an all will make your car run worse

If your car is an ST there will only be one large hole for the air temp sensor. Just use the grommet out of your stock airbox and put it in the new intake. If you have a GT there will be a hole and a connection for a hose.

Well, the intake was a mistake, I suggest you sell it to some sucker! If you insist on keeping it I would say that yes infact that hole is for the O2 Sensor, I can't imagine what else it would be for.. If you are considering another intake, find one that has an "s" shape, so that the filter is right against that hole where the air comes in.. I dont suggest those crazy cold air intakes that run under the car, because of moisture problems, they will seriously mess up your engine.. Good luck on whatever you decide to do man!
