I just got a 1999 Celica Convertible with low miles and in great condition. My plans are to just increase the handling but at the same time keep it stock and clean. My plans for upgrades are listed below. My question is regarding a TRD strut bar. Since this is my first convertible I'm not too sure if I should add it or not? I want to make sure that what I do it will not degarde the convertible structure of the car.

Plans:
OEM Shocks,
OEM Bushings,
TRD Springs,
5mm Spacers with 225/50/15 on factory 15x7 rims

A Quick history of cars I've owned and kind of work that is done to it and you can see what I'm going for.
1989 Supra Turbo - Highly modded Running 25lbs of boost (Sold, money for school)
1992 Integra - Basic bolt ons, improved handling (Sold)
1993 Integra - Stock (Gave it to family member)
1985 Celica Supra P-Edition - Basic bolt on, restored, improved handling (sold) 130k miles when sold
1990 Celica Turbo All-Trac - Bolt ons, Stock look and restored (currently own and drive only on weekends) only 120K miles
1995 Honda Prelude Vtec - Bolt ons, improved handling, (currently own bucket car)
1999 Toyota Celica GT Convertible - Just got the car (first car with non performance engine) only 80K miles

1990 Celica Turbo All-Trac, 1977 Celica GT Liftback, 1999 Celica GT Convertible, 2004 Lexus IS300 5-Speed

the bar will be ok. it will improve handling tremendously.

the trd springs, last time i checked they are only 1 set available, as they are discontinued. partznet.com only had 2 in stock from the warehouse and i bought one of those.... biggrin.gif
