i cant give you a 100% where it should go yet im still in process of doing my own gen 3 wiring harness now. I would guess from the diagram the black/white wire would be at the EA1 plug! All those other wires with the above colors in that diagram come off of sthe sides of the EA1 plug and they ARE ic pump related!...but i cant say for sure yet since i did not get to that part of my swap yet. I should know within a few days here since im going to have to do this mod too so i dont get that code 54.

Thats interesting! I was wondering how I fix those! The charge cooler level looks easy...the pump not so easy!

I hope you dont mind me butting in being an annoying newbie and tell me to bugger off if you want to! But...

QUOTE
The first step is to link the charge cooler level sensor pins together in the plug that used to connect to the charge cooler. There are a number of ways of doing this ranging from a simple piece of wire securely inserted into the loom plug to the removal of the plug and direct connection of the loom wires.

Where do I find the charge cooler plug? I did nt take out the FMIC so I have no idea where everything went? Will it be dangling about somewhere? Where abouts? What des the connector look like (other than having two pins!)

Back to the main topic ... this is for swapped gen 3 people who want to eliminate the code 54. Keep in mind u will have to convert your lower ea1 plug and insert the pins that would normally be missing on the gt or st wiring. Or u can just wire it all direct to the upper ea1 plug but I like things to be plug and play.
Use this link to get the wiring diagram:
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=55596
Im doing the above mentioned "relay diagram mod" directly wired into the EA1 lower Plug! Below is how im doing it.
The only missing info is the color codes im listing below to make finding the correct wires easy on plug EA1

M+ is a Grey/Blue Ea1 Pin#11
M- is a Grey/Green Ea1 Pin#17
E is a White/Black Ea1 Pin#2
INT is a Blue Ea1 Pin#1
MTT is a Grey/Black Ea1 Pin#8
B is a Black/White EA1 Pin#10

In the stock car the intercooler level sensor is obviously on top of the intercooler. And the intercooler water pump is behind the front bar inside the passenger side guard.

GT4DC explanation

The next person who asks this question without doing a search im going to punch in the jugular.

OK...I hope you dont mind me butting in and posting! Tell me if I overstep the mark!

I assume that this is the correct plug that needs to be bridged for the charge cooler level sensor as it is in the correct place...

This is the bit that confuses me slightly...the cconnector for the water pump...I think its this one..as you say, behind where the airbox would be, above the fuel filter...

Where I am a little confused is that this seems to have a connector on it...which suggests that its still connected to the pump...unless those wires have simply been chopped at the pump end? Can anyone tell me where the charge cooler pump is? Tried chasing the wires back but it dissapears into the unknown!

I also have this connector dangling about, which is near the front of the engine bay near the downpipe and a few inches from the radiator....any ideas? Has someone made a mess of my wiring? frown.gif

Alex the first plug is the fluid sensor And is bridged already.
The second plug is a resistor plug from what I see.
The third looks like maybe the egt plug.
If u have a st205 car all u need to do is the pump plug mod

god damitt !1 ppl dont uinderstand lol
NO ONE GTS SWAPPER CARES ABOUT THE SENSOR PLUG, its on the chargecooler and iys works well most off time,
this threat is about THE WATER PUMP ELECTRIC and bypass the cpu to give it the correct voltage,

so , all the sensor guy, dont post here...

now , im thinking if the b is only the 12volt from positive....

Cheers! Yeah should have thought...fairly obvious looking at it now that the first plug is bridged.
So the second plug is not the one for the pump then...I will keep looking
3rd plug...ah ok, I assume I dont need that then
Yup, ST205 smile.gif ... just need to find the right plug to mod!

I did the relay mod tied direct into EA1 and it did the trick. Worked out great!

Each diagram has a different way to wire a fix. It will work the same either way u do it. Depending on if u actually have a gt4 or u just did the swap and don't have the ic pump plug determines what is best for you. The relay mod is for people who did the swap! The other way is if u have the stock car wiring and access to the ic pump plug itself! Understand now?

update:
in the first diagram 12v+ coming into the relay is kinda acting as the the B signal (with the help of the relay) .
you dont need the INT wire in the second diagram cause wiring is happening at the "ic pump plug" only!!!

i got mine at radioshack...along with the protective electrical connectors that fit it perfectly! SOme places have a harness kit with that plugs right into the relay which makes it super easy. any electronics or auto store should have them. Make sure the one you buy is for 12V DC application!

I am struggling to find the pump plug let alone anything else - what an idiot! I am used to fixing 1960s Land Rovers with little electronics! I dont suppose someone can post a picture of an engine bay with an arrow of where it is? Or a picture of the connector or something.
