im new into celica's, always have liked them, but just got my first last week. overall its in great condition, and im loving it. one of the few things i need to make it complete is the back rest for the rear seats. after looking on ebay and only finding the whole seat for $100, knowing the whole seat is only $22 from a junk yard, and LOOKING in the junk yards to discover that not a single one up here has ANY 6g celicas. i was wondering if the 5g back would bolt into the 6g? thanks for the help, have already found TONS of useful information on this forum, you guys are awesome!

I'm still around. smile.gif Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

Here you go: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=69626 this should help you get those new front seats swapped in.

And yes, the rear 7th gen seats bolt right in. They're easier than the front seats because they mount up exactly the same as the 6th gen rear seats. There is a SLIGHT gap on the sides because they're about 1/2" shorter on each side, but it really isn't even very noticable.

Here is the link to the thread with the rears seats and pictures: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=71374

Also notice how the rear seats aren't flat across the top like the 6th gen seats, they have more of a wave to them. I think the 7th gen seats really freshened up the interior and gave it a much more modern look.

If you have any questions while doing the swap, feel free to post back. Good luck!
