Hey guys so I need some advice on my car. Just today my car was acting up weird! It would just start studdering. It was okay this morning when I drove it to my friends house. When I came back home it started to studder when I shifted gears. Now its worst though, when i drove it, it studder so bad that I had to pull over and when it studders really bad like that my engine light went on. When I pulled over and popped it to nuetral, the light went off. I just went back to check on it just now and 3 seconds right after I start it up, the rpm jumps from 1100rpm to around 2100rpm and just studders like crazy. (rpm jumps up and down like crazy from 2000rpm to 2700rpm). I thought it was the spark plug and wires but after I changed that, there was no diffence.anyone got ideas??thanks!

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. I'd start there.

So I change out my distributor cap and for some reason that made it stop studdering. Hopefully it was just a bad cap and the studdering doesn't come back. Thanks 95celicaST!
