 Cold air intake?, everyday driver |

I'm just getting started with my Celica and I wanted to know if it would do more damage than good if I installed some sort of cold air intake on my car. It's my everyday driver, so I don't know for sure what it will do. Any help of some sort would be much appreciated.

From my experience, with a stock 7a, a CAI can get you better mileage when you're easy on it and very little change in performance. Before I did my exhaust work, I was able to squeeze almost 40 mpg out of my 7a on the highway... now with a free-flowing exhaust, its nowhere near that..

A short ram intake would probably be a safer bet on a dd that eay theres less of a chance of getting water into the intake

Agreed, the noise is a good one. I did go back to stock though, and with my added sound insulation, the Celica nearly rivals my IS 300 for quietness. So worth it.

I like hearing the water hit the fender walls in the rear and the roar of the engine sucking in air and blowing it out lol. 94STCelica, if you're curious as to how it will sound when you put the intake on:
 That's a secondary cat delete and intake only. Makes a good sound.
