As of right now I'm not swapping to either lol but when I do another its gonna come down to witch ever motor I can find first

Smaay's 3mz seems to be doing well on 1mz nonvvti electronics. You could probably go the same route and avoid the massive 2gr celica project.

If I go 3mz I want vvti to work

Well the 1mz made it to the track an home last might
Made 2 passes first was a 15.5 the second was a 15.3 Both with a 1.1/1.2 reaction time. I was still running the stock 15s so I spun through 2nd. I think with a better set of tires I can break 14s -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

Suspension has a LOT to do with traction and being able to put power down. I'm sure you can do 14's.

I think if I wasn't spinning through most of the 60ft mark I could drop a second off
The 5.0 mustang I raced ran a 14.2 an was only 2mph faster at the end but he gain his whole lead by the 60ft mark I was gaining ground at the end -------------------- 95 gt coupe, v6 swap weekend toy

that is all tires man! get yourself a set of BF drag radials and you will drop over 1 second. reaction time only matters in head to head races, what were your 60 foot times?
