98 and Up 3S-GTE, ST215 Options

OOOPS! I got away from the topic.

The 3sgte is a great engine. but they won't bring back the 3sgte....they may take it's concept and basic design and create a new S family engine, or maybe make a whole new family of engines but based on the concept of 3sgte. That engine has been around for a while, and if you are thinking that they need to come out with something new to compete the the VTEC of honda, but then say that it'd be cool to birng back the 3sgte...you're only contradicting yourself. The 3sgte isn't new. The name of a car, such as the Celica, is nice for people to hear that it's a car that has a concept for it that's lasted for over 30 years...but and engine that's lasted for over 10 years isn't what people want to hear.

ALTHOUGH, Toyota hasn't been really going for what people really want lately so who knows what they're going to do.

I just came across this in the Rumors sectrion of an older Sport Compact Car magazine and they said:

"Toyota has been rumored to maybe start up the Supra line again in 2005 with a V6 coupe."

That's mostly Bs. The new Supra REPLACEMENT is going to be called the 5000GT. It, as I have heard, will have styling like that of the 2000GT, but will have the Tundra V-8 with some doodads to make it less of a truck engine, and more raceish. How does that sound? (Vette\Viper Killer)

The current V8 is a economical engine: FE.

The new VB will be a GE head optimise for performance.

Lock at the Drag celica.

I perfer the V8 style.

More torque and HP to gather with. Less turbocharging to do, meaning more life out of the engine.

There should try to get the get full balance with more weight.

In other word, a completely redesign car from lesson learnt from the supra.

yeah like what honda did, they killed prelude to make way for rsx and SI so Im not even gonna be suprise if the 8th gen celi is gonna be 190 hp with the same engine tho

nada, the 5000GT was a supercar concept design. it was going to be produced to compete in the lambo/ferrari market with a tag well into 6 digits. it was quickly scrapped after being called "too retro" for the times, this was back in 98-99... too retro eh... apparently toyota didnt see it comming...
