i have a 1994 celica st and it makes a scraping noise like metal on metal when im turning right its coming from the passenger front side. it only happens when im driving. i lifted up both sides and put it in drive and no noise. and i know for sure its not the backing plate .

Anyone can help me

I'd bet it's your bearing. Turning right puts more pressure on the passenger side bearing. Check and replace it ASAP.

definitely the passenger wheel bearing. depending how bad it is, you might need a new hub as well. Luckily is it fairly easy to take the whole knuckle off and put back on so you can do that part yourself and save money in labor. It was about $200 for me with the seal kit, bearing, and hub. Then you just have to pay labor for the shop to press the bearing onto the hub.
