Ever since I registered @ 6gc 2 days ago, I've been getting these strange errors. Previous to regustration, I read and browsed almost every page on this site (except the forums and 50% of Member's Rides).

Now, even loading my own profile takes a turn for the worst 80% of the time.

Instead of cleanly linking to www.6gc.net/members/2122/ it goes beserk, and suddenly tries to link to:

http://www.6gc.net/members/2122/s/38af0955...c0781312b96fac8

not only that, but the last directory changes text every second at random (redirects apparently, IE, 38af09558b147bd76c0781312b96fac8 suddenly becomes http://www.6gc.net/members/2122/s/afa6446a...cfb316337bacfe4 )

Eventually, my browser stops with an error that reads

"Too many redirects occured trying to open "(http)" This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page."

I'm using Mac OSX and Safari, previous to registering I had no problems wit that combination. Now I'm being forced to use Mac OSX and Explorer- which works fine; but that I have to open up a different program when I want to browse this website.

Any ideas?

(If you're just gonna bash my choice of platform, please don't bother. Without a mac I could never make enough money to pay for the car, or any of the upgrades I've gotten for it)

Thanks!

I feel you Sean. I have a Mac as well and I've had those same problems in the past. I don't use Safari but it doesn't suprise me that some code is incompatible with that particular browser. I'm sure Coomer will check it out for you, but keep in mind he is very busy and this site is a free service that he provides all of us, so give him some time to sort out the issues. Until then, you might have to stick to IE or even worse, Opera wink.gif

Yeah smile.gif I wasn't expecting any kind of quick result, but I know webmasters like to know when anything isn't running smothly, so I thought I'd post a report.

Hi,
Thanks for the concern and reporting the problem. I'm well aware of this problem, and it is already fixed in the new backend that I've developed. Once I can get the backend finished up, it will be uploaded and implemented and then it should solve a bunch of problems, such as this one. wink.gif

Nothing wrong with Macs.. to be honest, I want one for my work and development as well. Both Macs and PC's have their flaws. If I had a G5, I'd use it for development and graphics... and my PC for strictly gaming and Unix development...

So whoever hates on your for owning a Mac is just flat out ignorant. wink.gif

Thanks Ray, I was just afraid of trolls. They're impossible to stop once they get started...
