has anyone ever swaped in another engine like Honda or a Mazda something other then a toyota engine into their ride.

I dont know about that but, i think that ive heard of someone dropping a a 2JZ GTE engine (supra turbo V6) into thier 5g Celica, so as long as you have the money/time its probbably possible, it just might take some major reconstruction. personally id like to get the 1.3L Rx-7 rotary engine with the 288 horses into a 6g but hey at that point it wouldnt be the car I love anymore so stick to toyota parts.

The cost of doing this would be way too much...
The subframe would have to be removed from both your car and the car that the new engine was coming from.... you might be able to make new motor mounts and just swap the engine... but then you would have trouble with your transmission lining up and all kinds of **** like that... also if you where trying to make it rear wheel drive then that come with a whole other catagorey of problems.
