also, its not so much a 4age head on a 7afe, its more... a 4age engine with a 7afe block and crank
you'll pretty much want an entire 4age engine, and 4age rebuild parts, using your block and crank -------------------- Mike W

Just out of curiosity, how much do the 1mz and 7a both weigh? The 7a seems like a total pipsqueak compared to the 3s/5s... Also, which trans did the 1mz have?

1MZ came with the E153. Not sure about weight between the 7A and 1MZ, though I'd imagine they're about the same considering the 7A is still an iron block.

the 1MZ is about 40 lbs lighter than the 7A-FE, but thats just a guestimate. yes it came with an E153 that uses the thicker axles like the 93+ MR2 LSD trans
