Both my front and rear (but more critically the rear) engine mounts are bad. Where exactly can I get a set? I was thinking of maybe upgrading to ST205 mounts. Do they fit using the same brackets (just buying the bushing part of the mounts)?

My trans is an S54 so I'm expecting it to be a direct fit. Is it an upgrade?

ST205 uses different front and rear mounts since it uses a different trans. You can get new mounts from Rock Auto for pretty cheap.

So we can't use the ST205 ones on the S54? I thought it'd be like in the MR2, where you can use the turbo mounts (which have more bushing in them).

Try getting a hold of Aaron or Tracey at Lithia Toyota; the company's a board vendor at Celicatech.com with its own sub-forum in which they'll answer part number inquiries, though they ask you to get prices through their website since those fluctuate.

ToyoDIY - Type in your vin # (or just manually choose your car) go to Engine/Fuel -> Mounting

It'll give you the part # and ~list price.
This is of course if you want to go the stock way through Toyota.

really? did you just ask this question? what gave you the idea that an E series trans mount will be the same for an S series?

to answer your question, the front mounts are the same, im using my GT mount on my E153. the rear mount is not...now i do have some good news for you. i bought a brand new GT rear mount and never used it since i went to an E153. you can have it for 40 shipped
