Was looking thru some of the pics for posted by Uriel from the NAIAS show
How do you think it would look if the exhaust was moved to the sides...two oval tips showing on the side(towards the rear or the front) of the car...something like the merc in the NAIAS show...

That looks like some kind of concept for Mercedes...but anyways, thats right from the downpipe you just gotta do custom piping. Only thing is there really isnt anywhere for you to put a pipe...theres the suspension which the stock pipe goes over and after that you've already got ur passenger door. Only chance you have of getting pipe like that is in front of the rear wheels.

yes, i was thinking of custom piping in front of the rear wheels...have sideskirts with a slot for the exhaust tips near the rear wheel...i guess a custom piping shop should be able to bend a pipe to the side....
probably puy fome fase exhaust tips at the other side of the car too..
Is it legal...
What do you guys think....

I thought about doing something like this a while back.. I was gonna have the exhaust exit out of the pass side fender.. but got to thinking that the exhaust would possibly go into the cab of the car.. If you do something like this make sure your putting them behind the window or at least below it. also make sure that the passing air will help pull the exhaust out of the pipes and not push it bak in wink.gif

Its going to be rediculous loud and will hurt power some. You'll have a hard time packaging a muffler in there since the car wasn't designed that way. I've seen a lot of race cars that have done that but they remove a portion of the passenger floor pan and route the exhaust through there....kinda unpractical on a street car.
