Hi all,
I just bought a 95 Celica ST with the 7afe engine and auto trans. It's got 240k miles on it. Anyway, I plan on doing a full rebuild from the block up. Does anyone know how well these engines hold up to cylinder wear?? I know the block is cast iron but that doesn't mean much. My hope is that it will still measure within spec and I can just hone it and use new pistons and rings. If I have to bore it out, I'll just pick up another engine. I'll also have to get the head checked and/or decked since it overheated a couple times while driving it to my house. |
