i would really love to put the ones from the 5th gen. are you able to put the led's in the mirrior side like some new cars have.

It all depends on what's under the place I want the turn signal to be. I don't know what you really mean by "side", but I can't do it if there are mounting bolts in the way. Well, I can just cut it out, but it will weaken the mounting(not by a lot tho). Do you mean something like these?    -------------------- |

 Yes the end that's what I ment. Imagine ur led on the 5th gen mirror with the led on the glass mirrior = awsome. Perhaps you can do it for other car models if it works out.
