So I installed the 8 speaker system in my car, literally took it out of the parts car and put it in mine.
It worked completely fine in the parts car, but as soon as I put it in mine, I got an RPM whine in the speakers. I wired my head unit into the system, then put the old one back in to see if the whine would go away; it didn't. Then I tried to add another ground off the existing ground wires. That didn't change a thing either. Lastly, I grounded the two stock amps to the battery and there is still a whine in the speakers. Can anyone help me out here? If I can't figure it out, I'm just going to run the front and rear speakers off the speaker level outputs, bypassing the main amp. Then wiring the secondary amp, for the subs, into the RCA sub outputs and etc in hopes of that working. But that is last resort. Thanks. |
