I installed my new goldwood 4" speakers last night and had to cut little squares in the door panel so that the new considerably larger magnet would fit. Upon completion of install I noticed my audio wasn't as crisp and it turns out my 6 1/2" pioneer 3 way speakers no longer produce any sound whatsoever. I tried unplugging the 4" speakers but still no luck. The head unit was not touched during the process. Would metal shavings from cutting the door cause any damage? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I found the problem... I have the 8 speaker system and apparently I never hooked up the third connector that has the blue and green cables for the front 8" left and right speakers... I feel silly but is there a harness that would come with the standard two and the additional 4pin adapter? I looked around and found only the standard Toyota harness that comes with the two plugs and another one from Metra that didn't fit at all.
