 windscreen wipers not working properly |

I recently bought my first 97' Celica and found some problems on the way.
Straight to the point, when I use the wiper it only goes 2 times back and forth and I must then proceed to press it again and again for it to continue to work, and I fear it can be troublesome to handle when its raining alot so its a priority case.
