OK i originally thought it was just the brakes functioning without the keys now, but the day running lights on the tail lights and the front corner flashers along with the gauge lights, climate control backlight all turn on when i press the brake.
Does anyone know whats causing this? I assume its shorting the DRL switch to ground whenever i press the brake pedal... but I'm not sure how it would be doing this... Need some help urgently!! Hopefully some Aussies are up and can help me out! Its a AT200 1994 automatic incase that makes a difference Also this is urgent because i need my safety inspection tomorrow morning!:/ the problem just showed up today! Ugh UPDATE 4:48AM Site Time: replaced the bulbs, and now its all good with the braking thing and the DRL now all the lights don't turn on completely lol... But now when the DRL are on using the switch. The back will light up regularly, and when braking, the drivers side (LHD) brightens up both filaments, and the passenger side, will go out completely. But they both return to regular brightness when i stop braking. Seems like a grounding issue with the wires maybe? UPDATE 6:64PM Site Time: Now only the inner light goes out with the DRL on the passenger side, but the outer brake light works with the DRL now. Problem seems to be slowly solving itself....
