Hello there, first time writing one of these, newb but here it goes.
Does ANYONE know if the 3S-GE BEAMS engines have the same exact bolt positioning for mounting onto a car. I've called the Toyota main #, my local dealership, and all those D-bags gave me the same response, "We don't have the specifications for JDM vehicles..good luck on passing smogged." Therefore I was hoping someone much wiser could help a brother out. Does the 5th gen 3S-GE BEAMS (Black Top) engine have the same mounting and bolt positioning as the 4th gen 3s-GE BEAMS (Red Top) engine? All I want to know is if these 2 engines are interchangeable with one another since they are both 3S-GE BEAMS engines and were made relatively within the same year(s). Reason being..I want to swap out my 99' GT (ST204) engine/components with an Altezza 3S-GE BEAMS engine. Since the JDM SS-III had the 3S-GE BEAMS (Red Top) engine and is the same exact car/conversion from JDM to USDM, I would like to know if the Altezza is interchangeable as well??? If so.....RWD time!
