Hey, guys.
I recently picked up an original CD/Cassette combo stereo for my '97 Celica. When I got the car, it had a basic aftermarket unit in it and had very limited connectivity for any external media. Basically, just discs and radio. So I pulled it out after getting the new stereo and saw that it needed a different connector. What I'm needing is an adapter that can connect the left/right blue female plugs to the male input on the back of the stereo. Please see the pics below. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzJ1081e0H...iew?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzJ1081e0H...iew?usp=sharing Doing a little research, I found that some Celicas came with their own external amplifier and I'm guessing it's what usually came in Celicas with this stereo system. I'm also not entirely sure if I actually need an amp for this unit to work. So for now, I just need to know what connector I need to try it out. Been to a couple auto parts stores and surprisingly, their selection was limited (one didn't even have any Toyota style connectors). I appreciate any help, thanks! |
