Hello all,
I have a 97 Celica ST with the 7afe all original and stock. My transmissions just started acting up on me. It pops out of 3rd gear every now and then. Only pops out when I go to shift into it. If i don't shift a bit harder, it will pop right back out. Other than that, it doesn't randomly pop out. Is this a common issue with the C54 transmissions? Is this synchros going bad? I have read somewhere that its the shift forks? I have checked my shift bushings on the transmission and one was bored out a bit. i replaced both bearings and still same issue. i have not yet checked my shifter assembly to see if that may be the cause. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
