Have a 94 Celica gt. I have a problem where if my radio is on the car when shut off while driving it and it will not turn over until about an hour or so when the engine cools down. Can only go for a few miles till it shuts off. Now I have been tuning around without radio on put about 400 miles and no problem. The person I bought it off of has an aftermarket head unit and looks like there used to be an amp hooked up, there's an amp wire tuning through car just not connected to battery. Any ideas on what could be the cause of this? It's unusual to myself and others I have asked

Will the car stay running and drive fine with radio off? The amp wiring not being hooked up to the battery just means there is no power going to the amp wire. It's no longer a live wire. People do this when they take out audio system and are being lazy. If he left the amp wire connected to the battery it'd be a live wire with nothing to connect to on the other end and that is dangerous.

Did your car come with anti theft? Have you pulled the CD player to see if its wired correctly? Either it isn't wired correctly well it can't be or there is something messed up with anti theft if your car has it. Not sure if they offered it with celicas or an after market anti theft or you might not have one at all
