Hi guys one more for you to ponder. I have been told the 94 celica AC system requires 7 oz. of Pag 46 oil for the whole system. But how much oil do you put in in if you replace everything except the air compressor? It seems as though it would be holding a fair amount of oil in the lowest point of the compressor. I can't find that information anywhere? Is there a guide for each part removed like a drier/ condensor how many oz. to put in for each part that is replaced?

You'll need to drain and measure the oil from each part you remove, then put that much back into each part and you'll probably be close enough. A shot of dye oil will add anything you're missing and make finding leaks easier. Usually the compressor holds about 1/2 the oil in the system so if you add about 2oz to the condenser, 1oz to the receiver/dryer, and 1oz to the evaporator then you should be pretty much all set.
You can buy Sun Pag46 on Amazon in a small bottle. -------------------- |
