I've got a 94 GT, and basically, I feel wronged that they stopped selling All-Tracs (or what for our generation was called the GT-4) over in the US. It seems that lots of people (including myself) look to engine swaps to make up for this shortcoming, however, I would like to know if anyone has simply tried to import a used GT-4 from a European country that has LHD (Left Hand Drive) models. My understanding is that it is only around a thousand dollars to ship a car overseas, so this seems like a good solution for obtaining a 6G with more power. Has anyone researched this in terms of what it would take, how much it would cost, and what we would need to do for it to meet US specs? From what I've heard, people have been pouring limitless amounts of cash under their hoods, but this might be cheaper if all you have to do is swap out the catalytic converter or something like that... Any thoughts on this? I was inspired to ask this question after seeing Paranoid's sweet 95 hatchback GT-4 that he's got in Iceland...
