Hi,
what is the correct wiring at JDM Tail Lights. Is it:

a) turn light, break/rear light, fog light, reverse light

or

b) turn light, fog light, break/rear light, reverse light

???

turn signal - rear light/brake - reverse.
Both of the red lights are on at night, and
when you brake they both get brighter.
Is that what your asking.

I'm afraid not...

rear light and brake is the same place (no question about it), but what about rear fog light?

so, there are four placer for bulbs:

1 turn signal
2 rear fog
3 rear light plus brake
4 reverse light

but I'm not sure with succession...

Like I said before.
Both of the "?" is fog/brake light.
They are not separate like the normal ones (USDM).
When you turn on the lights they both the red bit lights up,
but when you brake they both become brighter than normal.

And that's why I have a "problem" where to put fog bulb and where light/brake bulb...

JDM tails DO NOT have a fog lights. None of the USDM or Japan Tails had Fogs. Only Europe Celis came with the Fog light, and fog light switch..

Does this rear fog light have a harness just hanging inside the usdm celicas or how do you get this to work on the usdm models.

Thanks to doGGy I know that there are difference between wiring European and non-European models. I belive that difference looks like this (I have never seen non-european model so 100% is just that European part)

This is excellent info! I'm wondering what the wiring is for the switch that controls the rear fogs. Anyone have a diagram for the switch? Or where I can find it?

Right. The switch... in fact there are two of them. One is simple manual "on-off" model (click = lights on, click = lights off). Second is semi automatic (click = lights on, click = lights off plus lights off also when you turn of the engine). To wire first one is really simple, that second not... my first celi was EU model, now I have JDM one. When I installed rear fog light on my JDM model I just bought new switch (that simple one) instead investigating how to wire that semi automatic one.

That simple switch has just 5 pins (4+1):



That semi authomatic 8 pins (6+2):



so you can easily find out which one you have...

It's the 8 pin switch, and I took the it apart the other day to see the circuitry inside. It definitely doesn't look simple. Do you have an EU wire diagram for the lighting system? Or do you know specifically what model came with the 8-pin button?

match220, I'm just curious, what do you need the rear fog lights for? lol we don't even have fog, and the vog is never thick enough to require rear fogs tongue.gif

match220, It's pre-facelift and facelift version. That simple one was 94-95 and 8pin at 96-99 Celicas. But that nothing changes on fact I have no wire diagrams available. That's why I bought that simple one in 2009 when bought JDM model.

Note: In Europe is rear fog light mandatory because of safety reasons. It's the law. You must turn on rear fog light in case of fog. To be seen and not being hit (or lets say to minimize the risk to be crashed) from the rear. And if someone outside EU wants it? His decision and I respect it. No need to ask why. It has it's purpose wink.gif .

Hey! A fellow Hawaii Celica owner on 6gc!! I'm always excited to see other HI peeps on here. And it's for front fogs, with no fog here I wouldn't care to have rear fogs.

I bought the switch and didn't know it would have a tiny logic board on it. I'm wishing it didn't need complex wiring now, but I can still use it. I may end up resoldering the board so it works the way I want it to if I can't find a wire diagram smile.gif
