to burn out pull up your e-brake put it in first rev it up to like 4-5k and side step the clutch.

to do donuts go find a really realyl empty parking lot put it in reverse get up like 30-40 mph and hit th brakes the turn teh wheels

both of these will **** up your car. i put a nice big dent in my prelude getting sideways around turns in this neighborhood and hitting and brick mailbox (the brick mailbox cost 650 to replace) .

when stepping on the clutch, shouldn't I be in gear at 5k rpm?

and when doing donuts shouldn't I be going forward ? I just want to know how to do it in my mr2. I just want to do it because it looks cool biggrin.gif

FWD cars don't do doughnuts... then again... depends on what your definition of "doughnuts" is...

For the record... even with a RWD car... you're gonna need a good LSD to complete good doughnuts. FWD cars are pretty hopeless... but like mentioned... tray sliding is a nice alternative.

I can do great doughnuts BTW.... >=] TRD 2 way slip biotch!

i do have a rwd car and it's my mr2. I know it's pointless doing burn outs and donuts but I just want to know how to do it so I can sleep tonight =( I have tried numerous times and failed to do a decent donut.

Here's me practicing in an empty parking lot

for your mr2 put it in second get going like 30-40 turn really hard and floor it. youll probably just spin around but ive never driven a mr2.

as for when i said going backwards i thought you were talking about your celi in that case you do need to be going backards to do a donut in a fwd car.

Like I said... you'll need a good LSD. Without one, the wheels spin is not gonna allow for you to correctly spin doughnuts...

FYI: I can't do true doughnuts in my MR2 either... but I can slide like a mofo...

Anyways, here are the steps. Drive foreward like you normally would and keep the revs high. Go about maybe 20 mph in first gear keeping the revs high and punch the clutch while steering towards your desired direction (keeping your foot on the gas). Keep your foot on the gas, pay attention to which direction the end slides out (should be agressively towards the turn direction) then counter-steer while the tail slides out and straightens. Steer back and forth while holding the gas and it'll do doughnuts... if you have a good LSD... if not.. you spin out and correct...

Not the trays... they sit under your rear wheels... ;]... but your foot can eat up the clutch pretty quick, and your hand mis-shifting can mess up your tranny... ;]

i wouldnt think itd be was bad on an auto since you wouldnt be dropping a clutch or anything.

although ive seen some really done people in autos burn out.

i saw a guy in a mazda m3 burn out but pulling up his e-brake and gradually starting out. he basically just draged his back tires for 300 ft.

phat!

re-locate your windshield wiper fluid lines. put one by the front drivers side wheel and one by the front passenger side wheel. then you replace the wiper fluid with bleech. when you want to burn out, press the wiper fluid button and ler her rip. the bleech works amazing.

Mr2's dont work well for doughnuts or burn outs....all the weight is on the drive wheels. You can do good spin outs though by flooring it around tight corners and not correcting or over correcting. Mr2's are mad to launch fast and have traction and balance.
